Mikel Garmendia
Business lawyer, Garmendia Law
I represent owners of small and family businesses in Boise and the Treasure Valley, mostly at three moments: buying, splitting up and handing off.
I grew up in a family that ran a hardware store, which means I grew up hearing deals made on handshakes and watching some of them fall apart.
Before opening this office, I spent several years at a mid-size firm drafting purchase agreements for companies much bigger than my parents’ store. I left to work for the owners I’d grown up around: bakers, contractors, shop owners and the people who want to buy what they built.
Outside the office I’m usually on a trail in the foothills, or in a kitchen cooking for more people than planned.
